Day -5

Today was the first day of both chemos being administered together on the same day.

I am feeling fine so far, all is good, aside from the Ativan they are giving me every few hours because Bulsufan causes seizures.  I have literally slept the whole day away.

Grandma has gone back home, and Shaye and Caylie are back with me.  I feel very loved, there is always someone here regardless when I wake up, that is so very comforting.

I should be able to go back to the apartment this evening.  It will just depend on the last blood draws and no fever.  Can’t wait for the big bed.  I really just want to sleep!!

Sending lots of love to my sister who has started the marrow multiplication injections.  She will be here Tuesday.

Peace & Love

Trish xo

  1. I’m crossing my fingers and praying that the sleepiness from the Ativan is the only side effect you feel during this process.
Positive vibes and prayers for you, Christi and your families through this process. You are all truly on my mind. I stop multiple times a day and think of you all and send prayers.
And even if you are sleeping, at least you can cuddle someone once you get back to the apartment (I know they kind of frown upon that in the hospital rooms)!!😀

  2. Hey Trish! I am sitting here contemplating life lessons while waiting an hour and a half for my number to be called (at the popo station waiting to pay for a criminal record check) and spent my time catching up on your blog. I wish I could think of the perfect words to cheer you up or keep you going today (you could be having the most miserable day or a half decent one by the time you read this)….all I can think of are completely inappropriate nurse jokes and lyrics from rap songs. None of which can convey the positive thoughts I am trying to send your way. You are one of THE strongest people I know and it makes me so angry sometimes that life gave you this particular chocolate. When Ayden is back in Edmonton, maybe someone can let us know so Cullen can invite him over….we are in BC next week….
