Day +9 A Message from Debbie

This is Trish’s friend, Debbie. I arrived yesterday and it was SO GOOD to see her. She is having a rough weekend. She has sores/ulcers in her mouth and they are causing her tremendous pain. She has been unable to eat for 3 days now. She is currently getting a blood transfusion as her hemoglobin and platelets are low. Her white blood cell count is at 0.1 showing that her immune system is non existent at the moment. She is still getting chemo as well as antibiotics. The doctor said this would be a hard weekend. Because of her low immune system she is in isolation and therefore at this time visitors are discouraged. We will update when visitors are welcome.

As I sit here Trish was able to have a sip of milkshake and got her blood pressure meds down as well as a few others. Good job, Trish. Baby steps.

She is on constant morphine and also has a pain pump she can press every 6 minutes as needed.

Thank you for your continued prayers and well wishes.

  2. Hi Deb:
Thanks for update on your friend, Trish. As you know we are praying that this recovery period will go well and that Trish will have the physical, mental and spiritual strength to get through it all. Deb, you are a very caring, compassionate soul and are a beautiful, strong, loving woman – God has blessed us with you and of course Shar and Ryan and your families. So now it is your turn to reach out and bless your friend. God in turn will keep blessing you as needed esp. this week. It must be so hard to see Trish fighting for her life. Your friendship and support and words of encouragement are much appreciated by Trish and her family.
    God bless.
    Love and prayers
    Mom and Barry

  5. Thinking of you Trish, and your family. Keep taking those baby steps (or let those health care angel workers ‘carry’ you!) towards regaining your health! May God bless you and all of your family with continued strength during such a difficult time.

  6. Hope everything is going smoothly (or as smooth as it can in this case). Every small step you take forward is really a mile you have traveled heading towards your goal. Any set back is a bump in yet another mile. Do not get discouraged. I have seen just through your blog how amazingly strong, courageous, loving, inspiring, sarcastic, funny and miraculous you truly are. We are praying for you Trish and sending healing, strength, peace and love your way.
